Honoring Our Classified Staff – The Heart of the CBSD!!!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible classified staff who play a vital role in the success of our students and schools. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment are essential to our mission of ensuring that ALL students are known by name, strengths, and needs, and that ALL students graduate with a plan—Enrolled, Employed, or Enlisted. This mission is only possible because of the support and dedication provided by our classified staff.
From the moment your child steps onto a school bus, walks through the doors, enjoys a warm meal, or learns in a clean and safe environment, our classified staff are working behind the scenes to ensure every student has what they need to succeed. Whether they are driving buses, preparing meals, maintaining facilities, assisting in classrooms, supporting technology, providing clerical and administrative help, or ensuring student safety, their work goes far beyond daily tasks—they are the foundation that keeps our schools running smoothly.
Coos Bay is a tight-knit community, and our classified staff embody that spirit through their unwavering support for students, families, and colleagues. They show up day in and day out, ensuring that every child feels seen, valued, and supported. Their work is critical, meaningful, and deeply appreciated—we truly could not do this without them.
I encourage you to join us in thanking our classified staff this week. A simple note of appreciation, a kind word, or a small gesture can go a long way in recognizing their tireless dedication to our students and families. Their contributions do not go unnoticed, and we are incredibly grateful for all that they do.
Thank you for being part of the CBSD community and for supporting the incredible staff who help make our schools a great place for students to learn and grow.
One Compass – One Goal – One Mission,
Dr. Justin Ainsworth
