So Impressed
We have noticed a huge difference in schools social medias lately. Sharing your stories is the most important story to tell right now. Being intentional about what you're putting out there is the best way to make your stories pop!
We also wanted to give a huge shout-out to a few schools who have put on Fall Open Houses. It is always hard to put something together that wasn't on the calendar originally and you are putting it on without knowing if anyone would show up. NEISD PreK Academy, Tejeda MS, Oak Meadow Elem, Jackson MS, IKE MS...way to step out of the normal and put yourselves out there. We've already heard of new registrations of families coming from competing schools and attendance of one Fall Open House at 125 families!! Being brave is always worth it!
Blattman Elem for years has been having gatherings for incoming Hobby MS families to ask questions and meet other parents. They have inspired RootEd and many other schools to promote this type of get-together. We feel that having an event in the Fall to compete with the open enrollment of competing schools is super important.
Let's all have a leg up in the popular school choice movement.

Rep Spotlight of the Month
When we became partners with Floresville ISD, Stefanie Moore was the first to contact us and sign up as a RootEd Rep! She's a wonderful cheerleader for her district and her school. We are lucky that she's chosen to be a part of RootEd!
"I love RootEd because I get to correspond with parents moving into our area and tell them about our school’s great happenings with our children and within our community.
I love Floresville South Elementary because it’s a family. It is a perfectly imperfect community. They all realize no one is perfect, and they adapt to the many changes which come to them daily. Our campus has been through so many ups and downs, losses, and gains, and everyone is treated like family no matter what. Our teachers are flexible and encouraging to the students. Our kiddos are their kiddos.
I love being a RootEd representative because I get to be Angie’s List for public schools. I get to share the stories of service, learning, and compassion FSE does. Also, I have learned how to become an advocate for public education. I’ve been able to learn from other representatives and tweak the suggestions to work on our campus. Everyone is accommodating.
Coming from a rural area in South Texas, Floresville is a small town growing by leaps and bounds. We have one school district, and it is filled with some of the best faculty and staff in South Texas. We have learned that our faculty and staff love all our kiddos as their own. Everyone in those walls is committed to bringing the best out of the kids. RootEd has given me the chance to get a parent perspective of the school in my area.
I am a product of the Floresville ISD and am proud my kids are learning at the same school district. We have been a part of Floresville South Elementary for seven years, and we complete nine years at FSE once our three children are done with Elementary."
Stefanie is mom to Nicolas (7th-grade FMS), Amilia (5th-grade FSE), and Isabella (3rd-grade FSE). Stefanie and Stephen have been married for 16 years. The Moore’s are active in the Floresville community. They are proud supporters of public education.
