Weekly Updates
Week 30, Sights set on Spring Trips!
Spring trips and performances are right around the corner, and we've flipped the switch to performance mode as we start to put the pieces together! With only two pieces required for our spring festival performances, we've ramped the preparation up to high gear, and are working more efficiently than ever to prepare our music!
Beginners: We won't be able to call them beginners for much longer, as they've all started showing signs of maturing young musicians! Our music has started to come together, and we're achieving new heights every week! We're thrilled for this first go-around of our music, and even more to prepare our first full concert cycle!
Prelude/Philharmonic/Symphony: Eyes have begun to wander towards next year, as sights are set at moving into higher orchestras and into high school orchestra. Much of what we're learning now will prepare us for the next steps, and we're putting together some very entertaining programs in the meantime!
PISD Solo Contest
WHEN: Saturday, April 13th, Time TBA
WHERE: Prosper High School
With our recital night finished, I'm excited to share an additional opportunity for students to share their hard work! Each year, Prosper ISD Strings puts on a solo festival, where students may perform their solo for a judge. There, they will receive feedback about their performance and a rating based on how they did, with the opportunity to earn medals and awards! This is always a fun event, and is a great way for students to get feedback from other great educators.
ALL STUDENTS are encouraged to participate! Please fill out the google form below to sign up.
SIGN-UPS MUST BE COMPLETED BY MONDAY
Spring Trips: NEXT WEEK!
Our annual spring trips are around the corner, and PARENTS, WE NEED YOUR HELP! We'll need several chaperones each day (April 10th for Beginners, April 11th for Prelude/Philharmonic/Symphony), so if you have the ability, please consider volunteering to help out! Your trip and lunch will be covered by the orchestra, we just need the extra adults to make sure the students have a fun and successful contest day!
WE STILL NEED ONE CHAPPARONE EACH FOR PRELUDE AND PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA!
Please sign up below to lend a hand, thank you so much in advance!
