Weekly Newsletter
Sultan Middle School Families,
November is Native American Heritage Month and we want to celebrate the incredible contributions of Indigenous voices, artists, and leaders. One of these artists is Joy Harjo. As the first Native American U.S. Poet Laureate, Harjo’s work beautifully captures the resilience, culture, and spirit of Native communities, sharing stories that inspire connection and understanding. This month, we encourage everyone to explore her poetry and reflect on the power of storytelling in honoring heritage.
Happy Thanksgiving!
