Backpack Program
Hello-
For those of you who are new to Scott, I wanted to make you aware of our Backpack Program. At the end of last year, we sent home 15 backpacks full of food each week to our families in need. This impacts more than 30 kids total. I expect us to have more of a need this year. In order to keep the program up and running, we need a steady supply of food/donations coming. We send home these backpacks full of food on the weekends so we can ensure that students have something to eat. I also provide snacks daily to those students who need it. This will be our seventh year running this program, and we couldn’t do it without your support!!
If you would like to donate nonperishable food items to our pantry, you may put them in the wagon in the foyer. (In the past, I have given a list of suggested food items but it seems like I get those exclusively. In order to get a variety of items, please just donate nonperishable food items that your family enjoys.)
In addition to food, I am also able to accept monetary donations and gift cards. If you are interested in going that route, you may get in touch with me directly. Whether you decide to donate food or money, know that our families are so very grateful for any assistance that you may provide.
