HMS Student Celebrations!
Small act of kindness impacts a person's day.
During a down time when all student were allowed to move around and visit, Carmen realized that one young lady was sitting by herself. Carmen went over and introduced herself and then introduce the new young lady to all her friends as well.
Open mind leads to great gains.
She has had a positive and open attitude about math.
Assisting others create a positive environment
Clyde is helpful during class, and after. On Friday he pushed in all of the chairs after class. On Monday, we worked up to the bell. He stayed after school to push in chairs and put away computers for me. He refused a reward, saying it's okay, I just want to help.
Commendable Commitment to Learning
"English is not Kyren's favorite subject. However, since day one, he has given 100% on every assignment, participated actively in all classes, and worked well with every group member and teacher."
Exemplifying Kindness
"He went out of his way to bring attention to an issue, enabling the staff to address it promptly."
Exemplifying Kindness
"I am nominating Christopher for his kindness. At the end of every day, even though the bell rings for dismissal, Chris holds the door open for all his peers. On days I have duty, he waits for everyone to leave and holds the door for me."
What is our 1% Celebrations?
At our school, we believe in the power of small, consistent efforts to achieve significant outcomes. By focusing on accomplishing small goals, often just 1% improvements each day, students can experience remarkable gains over time. This approach encourages students to cultivate habits of excellence in manageable increments, leading to lasting personal growth and academic success. By concentrating on these incremental improvements, our school aims to empower students to reach their full potential through dedication and persistence.
