In partnership, GCPS and the Goochland Family YMCA is inviting children in grades K-5 and their siblings that need some extra help, to participate in the YMCA of Greater Richmond Bright Beginnings Program! Bright Beginnings is a YMCA back-to-school program where we invite students and one parent to attend a Student Shopping Event at the Goochland Family YMCA. At the event students will receive a backpack with school supplies, a hygiene kit and back-to-school clothing accessories. They will also have a meal with their parent and volunteer, while spending quality time together!

For your child to participate in Bright Beginnings, we need you to complete the online application linked below by June 7, 2024. Once we receive your child’s application, we will send you a confirmation (via email) with the event date and time. These details are still being planned, but the event will take place at the end of July.
