To help give Cape Cod and the Islands communities the necessary information and tools to raise awareness, promote education, and increase action to reduce suicides.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED

C.I.S.P.C. remains committed to our mission. To provide Cape Cod and the Islands communities necessary information and tools to raise awareness, promote education, and increase action to reduce suicides. We cannot do it alone. We are looking for volunteers to help us spread the word at different functions and events that may come up throughout the year.

BARNSTABLE COUNTY FAIR

Just a shout out to all the members and volunteers who sat at the Barnstable County Fair and especially to Beverly Costa-Ciavola who sat countless nights at the Fair. There was quite a bit of interest, there were some health care professionals that took some of the material and this will hopefully help someone in need. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED!!

FALMOUTH ROAD RACE

Falmouth Road Race is a couple weeks away. The Road Race is August 19th and starts in Woods Hole Ma. at 9 am. This is a big event for us and brings us in the most donations. We are hoping that our General Members will head out along the route and show our support to our runners. NATIONAL SUICIDE PREVENTION WEEK

National Suicide Prevention Week is fast approaching. It is held during the week of September 9th - 13th. National Suicide Prevention Day is September 10th. We will be holding our annual Ribbon of Remembrance on September 13th in place of our General Membership Meeting.


Ribbon Remembrance will begin at 12:00 pm. It will take place on the front lawn of the Barnstable County Superior Court located at 3195 Main Street, Barnstable MA.

QPR - Question Persuade Refer

C.I.S.P.C. with the help from The Samaritans, organized a Law Enforcement Q.P.R. training held on July 24, 2018. The training was for twenty five law enforcement officers.
