Happy Sunday, Edgar Road!
We hope that you have had an amazing weekend with friends and family, and that you were able to enjoy this beautiful weather.
Edgar Road Special Person Lunch:
We are so excited to welcome so many special people this week for lunch with our students on Wednesday and Thursday. Please remember to RSVP (below). When arriving please make sure you have your State ID, and check in to receive your name tag outside the front office. Guests are invited to bring a lunch for themselves and their student. If a student would prefer to order their lunch from the cafeteria that will be an option. Groups will be able to eat their lunch in the cafeteria, outside on the patio, or may stretch out a blanket to have a picnic. Should the weather not cooperate, we plan to utilize tables and chairs in the cafeteria and gym. Once lunch is complete students and their special guests may visit the Scholastic Book Fair if they wish. We do have limited parking, so please plan accordingly. We truly appreciate your partnership and look forward to seeing everyone soon!
MAP Testing Continues:
Last week, our third, fourth, and fifth grade students worked incredibly hard completely the first week of MAP testing. Students will continue the MAP Test beginning on Tuesday. This is a significant time for our students as they showcase their learning and skills acquired over the year. We understand that testing can be a period of anxiety for some students, and we aim to create a supportive environment that helps each child perform to the best of their abilities.
To support your child during this time, we encourage maintaining a routine at home that includes a good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast. A word of encouragement and reassurance can also make a big difference in their confidence levels. Please ensure your child arrives on time on testing days, as a calm start to the day can help set a positive tone.
Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in your child's education. Together, we can make this testing period a positive and empowering experience for all our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

A Note From The Library
I am asking students, parents and staff of Edgar Road to share their favorite childhood book. It can be a picture book or chapter book that is elementary level/appropriate. I am coordinating with the high school art classes to create oversized book spines that will go in the white recesses of the upper wall in the library, creating the look of a bookshelf. I will collect all of the responses, find the top votes and use those books for the spines. If you'd like to participate, please fill out the Google Form HERE. Thank you!
