GRADE 9-10-11 ~ ONSITE TESTING DAY ~ REQUIRED
On TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2024, is onsite testing day for students in Grades 9 -10 - 11.

PSAT is a required assessment. Student in-person attendance is required
Logistics ~
When: Tuesday, October 15, 2024
Location: Trojan Learning Center (TLC) ; NWIOS Office, 601 W Morgan Avenue Door 9; Chesterton IN 46304. (SEE MAP BELOW)
STUDENTS SHOULD ARRIVE AT THE TLC BY 8:30 am Door 9
Schedule~
8:15 - 8:30 am - NWIOS students check in with NWIOS Staff inside DOOR 9 at TLC.
8:30 -8:45 am - Students will report to their assigned exam site at TLC.
Attendance will be taken in exam room locations and submitted for attendance.
8:45 am – Exam instructions begin – no students will be permitted to enter the exam room once the exam begins.
11:30 am – PSAT testing concludes (TIME IS APPROXIMATE--Students will not be permitted to leave until all students in the exam room are finished.
Supplies Needed:
School-Issued Device
Headphones
Charger
Water bottle
Healthy snacks (please avoid foods with common food allergies)

Veterans Day Program
Northwest Indiana Online School will be honoring our Veterans with a Veterans Day Celebration Video during the month of November. To honor our Veterans, we would like to invite you to submit information to recognize someone you know that has served our country. All submissions are due by Wednesday, October 23, 2024.

REMINDER: The Next In-Person Support Session~Oct. 2, 2024
Are you new to Northwest Indiana Online School? Are you a returning student who needs extra support in navigating the online curriculum?
Don't forget that our Duneland Team will offer in-person support sessions throughout the school year. During these sessions our DSC team will help students and parents navigate through Edmentum, provide academic support, and help students get caught up with their assignments.
Our next sessions will be held on Wednesday, October 2, and Wednesday, October 9 from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm at the Trojan Learning Center. These work sessions are open for new and returning students. Parents are welcome to attend, too. Please see more information. We ask that you RSVP to this sessions by completing the form below or by calling 219-983-3743.
Please join us on October: Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm for our next in-person support session. Please RSVP by using this form to let us know you will be there. Parents may choose to stay to learn more as well; or they may drop off their student for the in-person support session.
We have one additional sessions scheduled in and Wednesday, October 9.
FYI: Students who are off pace may be required to attend the on-site tutoring sessions.
REMINDER: Student ID Cards are Ready for Pick Up
For those NWIOS Students that had their picture taken on September 3rd, Student ID Cards are available for pick-up at the NWIOS Office inside the Trojan Learning Center on regular school days between 7:30 and 3:00.
Picture Packages will be available for pick-up at a later date and you will be notified when they arrive.
REMINDER: PICTURE MAKE UP DAY is DECEMBER 3, 2024
For any NWIOS Student who did not get their picture taken or is otherwise interested in retakes, they are scheduled for December 3rd.
More information will be forthcoming as the date gets closer.

Seniors, Class of 2025, if you are planning to graduate this school year, there are two upcoming events that you should plan to attend:
- NEW MEETING DATES AND TIMES ADDED: Schedule a senior meeting with Mrs. Jarka, Director of NWIOS, to review all of your high school information to make sure you will hae everything you need to graduate on time. Use this link to schedule your meeting.
