PVS Spring Concert 5/20/2024
Dear PVS Parents,
Since our band and choir numbers have grown, the Pleasant Valley Spring Concert will be held in Two Acts on Monday, May 20, 2024. This is to ensure we do not exceed capacity at the Tuscano Center at Clearview High School. Please be mindful of limiting the amount of family members that attend so everyone has a seat and opportunity to see their child perform.
Act 1: Band Performance at 5:00 PM:
4th, 5th, and 6th grade Band Members
Doors will open at Clearview High School at 4:45PM for band members and families
5:00 PM band members will perform
We will ask all students and families to leave the building after Act 1, even if your child is performing in Act 2. This will give the band and choir directors time to remove band equipment and set up the choir equipment.
Act 2: Choir Performance at 7:00 PM:
4th, 5th, and 6th grade Choir Members
Doors will open at Clearview High School at 6:45PM for choir members and families

Placement Information for the 2024-2025 School Year
District-wide, student placement will begin in July, 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year.
At that time, we will diligently strive to place each child in the most effective academic environment for them as individual learners, taking all information into consideration. There are many variables that must go into the creation of every single classroom. Consideration is given to input from guidance counselors, teachers, special area teachers, and parental year-long communications. Each classroom is balanced by gender. Consideration is given to local testing, grades, ability, personality, learning style, and performance. Each classroom is set up to be balanced academically. This in itself is a very complex undertaking.
This year, emails and letters regarding classroom placement will not be accepted. We will be developing learning environments to give every student, in every classroom the best chance to succeed academically. Our teachers and staff work to establish a classroom community where the children will learn to interact and support one other. Thank you for your ongoing support and we are anticipating a terrific 2024-2025 school year.
