Wee Wuns Newsletter
DECEMBER 2024
Director's Message
The miracle of Christmas is often best reflected in the eyes of a young child. At Wee Wuns we are richly blessed, for we have the opportunity to experience this glorious season with our students. Thank you for giving us that opportunity.
We are beyond grateful to the Coffey family, owners of Intex Flooring for blessing Wee Wuns with beautiful new carpet in our Toddler Enrichment classroom. We hope you enjoy some pictures of this amazing Toddler play area.
Being surrounded by the love of Christ, laughter and the joy of children makes our world here at Wee Wuns a happy place. The sound of the children singing their favorite Christmas songs will be filling our halls with the joy and excitement of the season before we know it.
We hope your world is filled with the same joy and excitement. The staff of Wee Wuns wishes you and yours a very Merry Christmas, touched with wonder and wrapped in love.

Feel free stop by the Wee Wuns main entrance (near Marla's office) for a festive picture with your child! We have set up a Blessing Tree in this area. The Blessing Tree is filled with ornaments with a variety of blessings written on them, from classroom supplies to monetary contributions. If you are inclined to choose an ornament as a Christmas blessing to Wee Wuns, we would be grateful for your blessing! Your contribution can be dropped off at the office before the Christmas holidays.
CHRISTMAS PARTIES
Preschool Christmas parties will be on Wednesday, December 18th and Thursday, December 19th. Chapel will begin at 1:00 and the parties will begin at 1:15 p.m.
Toddler parties are for students only and will be held at various times on the above dates. Toddler teachers will provide an opportunity for parents to sign-up for snacks and items needed for the party.
All toddler and preschool students are asked to bring a wrapped child’s book (gender neutral) of approximately $5.00 value for a gift exchange.
CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS
Fall Festival
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all of you who attended and contributed to making our 33rd annual Fall Festival a success this year! We had an amazing turn out of past and present families as well as many families from the community.
We are also grateful to all of you who participated in and spread the word about our online silent auction. We were pleased with the amount of enthusiastic participation the online auction received. We are continuing to finalize the amount of money raised from the festival and we will share that information as soon as we are able. Funds raised from the Fall Festival are used to help us keep tuition costs low, implement campus and classroom improvements, provide teacher training, and to support our wonderful staff and children.
None of this would have been possible without our families and the hard work and dedication of our Helping Hands volunteers!! This amazing group of individuals committed many hours to planning and executing all of the details that made the day so much fun!

Get with God for Preschool
Merry Christmas! We are well into our Christmas Story now and I love sharing the meaning of the season with your precious children! I wish a peaceful and blessed holiday for each of you.
In Him,
Mrs. McLain
This month in chapel we are focusing on the birth of Jesus- the BEST GIFT EVER!
We will learn Bible stories about the shepherds going to see the baby, the wisemen following the star to see Jesus, and we will have the Happy Birthday Jesus Nativity presented by our 4-year-old classes.
We will sing There Was a Little Baby, by Rafi, J is for Jesus, and J is for Jesus, by LifeWay Worship -on Apple Music
Our memory verse this month is “Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” 2 Corinthians 9:15
Some things to do at home are:
Cuddle with your child and pray: “God, we have so many fun Christmas traditions. [Child’s name] and I love doing them all together! While we’re making fun memories this Christmas, help us remember that Jesus is the one we’re celebrating. Jesus is special, because Jesus is Your Son!”
While on the go, take turns telling each other happy news. It can be anything happy! Talk about how God sent an angel to tell Mary some VERY happy news. The angel told Mary she was going to have God’s Son, Jesus!
Add lots of bubble bath to bath time. Ask your child if they can cover their entire body with bubbles so they look like an angel. Say: “God sent an angel to tell Mary that she was going to have a baby. The baby was Jesus, God’s Son!”
Spanish
Dear Wee Wuns families,
It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you I will be stepping down from my role as Spanish teacher due to unforeseen family circumstances. This decision was not made lightly, as I have truly enjoyed working with your children and being part of their learning journey of the Spanish language for the last eight years at Wee Wuns.
I am grateful for the support and trust you’ve shown me during my time here and I will do my best to ensure a smooth transition by working closely with the school to assist in any way I can.
I deeply appreciate the opportunity to have been part of the Wee Wuns community and will always carry fond memories of the time spent with your children.
Before leaving for the Christmas holidays, we will have the opportunity to practice together a Spanish Carol song, “Navidad, Navidad, dulce Navidad”, and giving warm goodbye hugs in our final class together.
Thank you for your understanding and don’t be surprised if one day at a random place you see your kid giving a good handshake saying “Bien, gracias, ¿ y tú?” J.
Please let your children know that Ms. Mesa AND Curro will always carry them in our hearts.
Warm wishes for the holidays,
Ms. Mesa and Curro.
