PLA@George H. Fisher School 93
Greetings PLA Families,
Our scholars are the best! We had a great week at PLA93. Continue reading to see what's on the horizon in the weeks to come.
Parents In Touch (PIT) is next Wednesday, October 9th. You should have received a confirmation form with your scheduled time last week. If you foresee a conflict with your assigned time, please reach out to your child's teacher. As a reminder, PIT day is an e-learning day. Scholars will be bringing home work to be completed on Tuesday and then returned to school. All work will be due on October 16th. We are looking forward to seeing you and discussing your child's progress so far this year.
PLA93's Scholastic Book Fair will take place all next week. We accept cash or there is an e-wallet option for parents (see below). This option allows families to load money into a digital account for scholars to shop at the fair. The book fair will also be open during our parent conferences if you would like to visit and shop then. Purchasing books provides reward funds to our school so that we may purchase additional books for our library. Be sure to check it out.
PLA93 will be participating in learn checkpoints this year. This is a state assessment that will provide data to our teachers about your child's progress and preparedness for ilearn in the spring.
