💭 Superintendent's Message
Dear Northfield School District Families:
The school district is beginning to buzz with activity. We look forward to welcoming Northfield High School student-athletes back next week!
Over the next few weeks, information from your students’ school(s) will appear more often in your inboxes. I encourage you to set time aside to read these school updates. One of our district’s strategic commitments is to communication and another is partnerships. We aim to ensure you have the information you need so we can effectively partner to prepare every student for lifelong success.
We are also working to ensure you have all the information you need about the Nov. 5, 2024, bond referendum election. Since beginning our educational campaign in late March, we have been part of more than 50 events to inform voters about the Reimagine Northfield High School proposal. Most recently, I presented to the local Rotary Club and residents of Greenvale Township. We’ve distributed information at numerous community education events and have hosted informational tables at gatherings like Crazy Days and the Third Thursdays in downtown Northfield.
You can view all of the referendum-related events here. The district will provide a presentation for any group that asks for one. Contact Anita Aase at (507) 663-0629 to schedule a presentation.
The next NHS tour is Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 10 a.m. to noon. You can enter at Door No. 10 and meet in the media center. The high school tour is one of the best ways to see the problems the referendum intends to address.
Visit our Reimagine Northfield High School website, which contains detailed information about the referendum.
As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or feedback about the school district!
Sincerely,
Matt

✅ To do: submit your bus forms!
Turn in your bus forms by Friday, August 15. If your form is not received by August 15, you will need to wait until after the first week of school to receive transportation. A bus form is required for everyone looking for transportation. If Benjamin Bus does not receive a form you will not be added to a bus, regardless if you rode a bus last school year.
If you are not certain that you turned in a bus form contact Benjamin Bus 507-645-5720. They are happy to check this for you. If necessary, they are available by phone to help you get set up for transportation. The online option will not be available until after September 3.
