ALASKA in 2025
Join the K-Central Travel Club for a trip to ALASKA in 2025!
Travelers will be spending a week in June visiting such destinations as Fairbanks, Denali National Park, Anchorage, and even viewing glaciers on a cruise through Prince William sound.
Come see Mrs. Dodson in room 359 on Tuesday 9/10 right after school for more info! This meeting will last about 20 minutes. Let’s go ALASKA!
Heyl Scholarship
There will be an informational meeting regarding the Heyl Scholarship on Wednesday, October 16th at 6pm in the Dow Science Center on Kalamazoo College's Campus. See Mr. Soulier in room 244 for more information.
Gender Sexuality Alliance
The Gender Sexuality Alliance will have our first meeting of the school year after school on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 2:30 to 3:30 in the choir room, room #444!
Everyone is welcome, whether you're an ally, you are LGBTQ+ or just curious! Snacks will be provided.
Women's Advocacy Organization
Are you eager to take a stand for women’s rights, and make a real difference? Join Kalamazoo Centrals Women's Advocacy Organization and connect with a passionate community, committed to providing resources and pushing for change. Chicago: Teen Edition
KC performing arts is jazzed to present Chicago: Teen Edition! Auditions for this year’s musical are on Wednesday, September 11th and Thursday, September 12th at 6:00 PM in the auditorium. All folks auditioning should plan to attend both audition days. Additionally, get a sneak peak of what to expect and prepare to ace your audition by attending the optional workshop on Wednesday, September 4th at 6:00 PM in the choir room, room 444. Maroon Giants Speed Club
Attention all student athletes: do you want to sprint faster, jump higher, and grow stronger for your sport? Then the Maroon Giants Speed Club is for you. Speed Club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the track (weather permitting) from 2:45 until 4:30. Our first day of training will be Tuesday, September 10th. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. See you there!
Giant Readers Book Club
The first Giant Readers book club meeting is Monday, September 16th from 2:30-3:30 in the library. We will discuss what you read over the summer and will be choosing what books we want to read together. Please see Mrs. Colvin in the library if you have any questions about this club.
Google classroom for the class of 2025

The class of 2025 will be having a DoubleGood popcorn Sale September 10th -14th. Seniors please see google classroom to set up your popcorn pop up shop. The money raised will help support the cost of prom and other senior activities.

please come to the principal office to sign up for tryouts.
Last day to sign up is Friday, September 20th.
Reminders for the new school year
- IDs are required to gain entrance into the building. They must be worn at all times around your neck and displayed. You may purchase an extra ID from Mrs. Garza for five dollars.
- Hats, Hoodies, or Bonnets are not allowed to be worn in the building at any time.
- Cell Phones may not be used during class time or while on bathroom breaks. Students may use cell phones before school, passing time, lunch, and after school.
- To send in all student absences to CHSattendance@kalamazoopublicschools.net. If the absence is for a doctor's visit please remember to send in the doctor's office note with your email.
- All Chromebook issues will be dealt with in the Chromebook Room during 3rd period Lunches,
- Students with holes in their schedules or are in a class that they have already taken, please come down to the Main Office during the period that you have a hole or a repeat class. Please email your counselor for ALL other scheduling requests.
