We have just wrapped up a short week at Valley Creek. I hope you were able to enjoy your long break. Mrs. Cruz is with us, and we are so excited! Thank you for welcoming her with opened arms.

Don’t forget our Veteran’s Day ceremony is Monday, November 11th and we have our McKinney Lacrosse Stay n' Play Friday the 15th.

Thank you for your compliance and understanding as we follow these district security protocols:

• A valid state or government issued photo ID must be presented each time you visit, volunteer, or pick up a student.
• Please be prepared to present your physical ID upon arrival.
• We are not be able to accept photos of ID's on phones.
• We will not be able to admit anyone to volunteer, visit, or pick up a student that does not present their physical ID.

• A background check is required each school year for people wanting to volunteer in McKinney ISD.
• This includes making copies, PTA events, lunch duty coverage, classroom parties, field trips, and other volunteering that takes place inside and outside our building.
• We encourage all parents and guardians to complete your volunteer application as soon as possible to avoid any delay in the processing.
• Anyone that has not completed a volunteer application and had it approved will not be able to volunteer in any capacity inside or outside of our building.

Tuesday November 12th - 7:50 - 8:10am - Picture retake day - This is only for our students that are new to VCE, were absent on the original picture day, or had pictures taken previously and need a retake. SCHOOL PIX RETAKE REQUEST LINK

PTA Parry's Pizza Spirit Night - 3:00pm - 10:00pm - Join us, in person, delivery, or via to-go orders, at Parry's Pizza for a spirit night to support our PTA!

Wednesday November 13th - World Kindness Day

Thursday November 14 - World Diabetes Day

Friday November 15th - Thursday November 21st - Book fair! Ends 11/21 at 1:00pm.
