Dear Families,

As we approach the beginning of October, it’s hard to believe we are already nearing the halfway point of the first marking term. Interim reports will be issued soon, and this is an ideal time to reflect on our students’ progress. With the initial excitement of the school year behind us, we encourage everyone to focus on making positive choices in both behavior and academics.

We emphasize the importance of integrity—doing the right thing even when no one is watching. We urge parents and guardians to engage with their children about their activities, particularly regarding cell phone use and social media. Many of the conflicts we observe among students could be alleviated through careful monitoring of online interactions and fostering more face-to-face connections.

We are all in this together, striving for the success of every student from the very start. Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement.

Congratulations to Mr. Beal for earning Bubba this week! We always enjoy seeing Bubba land with our newest Eagle staff members! Keep up the good work, and we look forward in seeing who ends up with Bubba next week!

In Ms. Pabon's 4B Spanish class, students showcased their language acquisition skills by engaging in a creative project focused on the four seasons. They designed posters depicting appropriate clothing—expressed in Spanish—that they would wear for each season. This exercise not only fosters linguistic proficiency but also encourages critical thinking and cultural awareness. We eagerly anticipate the final products of this interdisciplinary endeavor!

Congratulations to Mr. Pages on being selected for the 2024-2026 Cohort of the Academy for Leaders in Education. Up to 50 leaders from the Eastern Shore are selected for this program every 2 years. 7 of the 9 counties on the Eastern Shore of Maryland are represented:Cecil, Kent, Dorchester, Caroline, Somerset, Wicomico, Worcester, & Salisbury Christian.

As per DCPS policy, students are required to have Clear Bookbags and Clear liquid carrying containers.

Non-clear bags are subject to search regardless if the weapon detections system dings.

Clear Backpacks will be handed out during laptop pickup.

NDHS and DCPS utilizie GoFan.co for sports ticketing.

Ticket prices will remain the same as last year: $6 for adults, $3 for students.

Children 14 years or younger (8th grade and below) must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older.

NEW THIS YEAR: Tickets may be purchased on site with a credit card, apple pay, google/android pay.

Cash will still not be accepted.
