It's the season for ghosts, ghouls, and one acts!
After our wonderful 13 Jr kickoff show, we are gearing up for Jekyll & Hyde! The cast and crew will be performing at the Georgia Theatre Conference on October 19 and the GHSA Regional One Act Competition on October 30. Break Legs and Let's Go Danes!
Chorus is busy as well with our Fall Concert, District Honor Chorus, and All State Auditions. The fall concert was fabulous! Mark your calendars for the Winter Concert that will be held on November 19.
Lastly, our Fall Fundraiser is in full swing! Your participation is greatly appreciated! Please review the article below for complete details on how to participate. It is simple and DPA earns 15% of all orders. The fundraiser will run through December 15.

Georgia Theatre Conference October 2024
The Jekyll and Hyde cast and crew will proudly compete in the R. Lynn Woody Festival at the Georgia Theatre Conference being held in Gainesville, GA October 16-19. We will be performing at 4pm on Saturday, October 19. Students will attend the conference Friday, October 18 and will leave after the PSAT. Transportation will be provided for both days. Please access the schedule for complete details HERE. POPA will be providing some meals and snacks. Festival awards will be 10/19 at 7:30pm.
Many of our DPA Family members have pre-purchased a one day festival pass to watch the performances. If you did not already get your pass, you can purchase at the GTC registration desk for $15 the day of the performance.
GHSA One Act Competition 10.30.24
Jekyll & Hyde will be competing in the Regional One Act Competition on October 30 at 9am at the FoCAL Center. We are part of Region 6A and it includes the following schools: GHSA Region Alignment.
The cast and crew will have an early start and the schedule will be released shortly. DPA family members are welcome to come watch the show. Doors close for each performance so we suggest arriving early to get your seat. Awards will be at the end of the competition.
Thescon 2025
DPA is heading to Thescon February 6-8, 2025. We have 40 students and six chaperones registered and ready to go!
This is Georgia's largest gathering of Thespians and three days of shows, workshops, and fun located in Columbus, GA! We will be providing more information prior to the event and will host a parent informational meeting. Be on the lookout for more details.

Denmark is Disney Bound March 2025!
We are registered and ready!
The next Disney Payment is due November 1. Payments made after November 5th will incur a late fee.
We now have two ways to pay . . . Zelle (no fee) and PayPal (convenience fee). Go to the Thespian Tours website to get the latest updates.
The DPA Holiday Shop is OPEN!
At this week's Thespian Meeting, students were asked to register and open their own shops to earn credit for sales. Click HERE for the simple instructions. HERE is a social media graphic for posts and HERE is a graphic for stories. These QR codes redirect to our main DPA Holiday Shop. You can easily add a QR code for your own shop as well!
Once you have opened your own shop, share with friends, family, neighbors, or even colleagues. All they do is click and purchase online. The beautiful fresh wreaths, garland, or centerpieces will be delivered straight to their door on a schedule you designate! Great for gift giving as well!
No money to collect and no products to distribute! Troupe Teams with the highest sales will earn a pizza party and the top three individuals with the highest sales will receive VISA gift cards just in time for the holidays.
The fundraiser runs through December 15! Proceeds will go to upgrading our theater sound system and our goal is to raise $5000. Thank you in advance for your participation!
POPA Meetings in October
We will have two virtual meetings in October - October 7 (rescheduled from September) and October 17 (prep for One Act / November Hosting). These will be held on Zoom and all are welcome.
If you are interested in becoming more involved with POPA, please let us know! We have a core leadership group and committees that can always use your help.
Volunteer Opportunities
In October we will be providing snacks for the Jekyll & Hyde cast and crew for their longer rehearsals and for travel snack bags for the two one act competitions. Donations of snacks / waters is appreciated! They are working hard and can eat some serious chow! A Sign-up Genius will be shared through Team App and the FB POPA Group. Thank you in advance!

Get Your 24-25 Season Pass!
Each pass grants you tickets for each of our Main Stage Productions and 20% off any of our acting shows.
Season Pass Holders will also be granted early access to the theatre. Each pass will come with a lanyard to present at at the Season Pass Table.
Four Ticket Passes are $55 each ($5 savings) and NEW Eight Ticket Passes are $110 ($10 Savings). Passes will be available for purchase online or at the Box Office and can be picked up at the Season Pass Table in the Lobby.
