COVID-19 Update: Quarantine Guidance Update
After consulting with our local public health agencies and reviewing recent changes by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommendations concerning school operations during COVID-19, we updated our health protocols. The tweaks include shortening quarantine guidelines and vaccine return protocols for employees. For complete details, please visit www.leanderisd.org/covid19/.
Equity and Diversity Listening Sessions Wrap Up Next Week
For the last two months, Leander ISD has been listening and learning from our community about how to better support our students. These Equity and Diversity Listening Sessions wrap up on Tuesday, March 30. Please make plans to join us for our final session (7:30 p.m.) by registering here. LISD’s Equity and Diversity Advisory Committee will compile the data gleaned from these conversations and present its findings to the Board of Trustees at a meeting later this spring. Thank you to everyone who has committed to learning and working to understand the diverse community in which we live.

PreK and Kindergarten, for 2021-22 is Now Open!
We need your help spreading the word! LISD is working hard to assess campus needs for the next school year so that we can make staffing and resource allocations that best serve our students and families. To do that, we need an early and accurate count of the students expected for in-person learning at each campus. We are asking parents to register their new students as early as possible to assist us with this mission.
Free and Tuition-Based PreK Registration
All families who are interested in applying for the 2020-21 Leander ISD PreK program are encouraged to register online or by calling their elementary neighborhood elementary campus to pick up a paper packet. For more information about registering for PreK, qualifying for free PreK, our new tuition-based program, schedules, and curriculum, click here.
Dual Language Kindergarten Registration
The Dual Language application for 2021-22 incoming Kindergarten students is available now through April 30. To learn more about this program and how to register, click here.
Kindergarten and New Student Registration
If your child will be new to our district (not enrolled with us this year) or if they are starting Kindergarten Fall 2021 (and are not currently in our LISD PreK program), please check out this webpage where you can get more information and register your student. We look forward to having them with us next year!
Technology Survey
For less than 15 minutes of your time, you have the opportunity to anonymously give feedback on technology access and use on your campus. Parents, students, teachers, and administrators are welcome to participate. Click here for more information on the Technology Survey.

Bad Weather Make-Up Day
April 12 will be a regular school day to make up for the snow day on Jan. 11. Students need the minutes and staff contracts require employees to make up the time, therefore, we will use the bad weather makeup day allocated in our calendar. For our secondary students, this will be an A day.
