"Share a cup of kindness" Happy Valentine's Day & Random Acts of Kindness Week
We hope everyone enjoyed a few days off during the Teacher's Convention.
This upcoming week we will be celebrating KINDNESS intentionally as we participate in some kindness activities planned by Mrs. Webb, our school counsellor. However, we know KINDNESS is not just a one-day or one-week event. We need to remember to spread love and kindness always! In a world where you can be anything, be KIND! Be sure to stop by and see the bullentin board by the office fill up with cups of kindness.
“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.” —Mother Teresa.
We wish everyone a wonderful week,
Mrs. L. Kleparchuk, Principal
Mrs. S. Crowston, Vice Principal

Understanding Big and Small Problems
At the start of the year, the students talked about mouse and elephant problems. A mouse problem is something small that can be solved quickly (like with a hug or a change in routine). An elephant problem is bigger and might take time to work through, often needing support from an adult.
We also discussed stress, which can happen when we face big challenges or feel overwhelmed. Recognizing whether we’re dealing with a mouse or elephant problem can help us manage stress and emotions.
At home, you can support your child by:
Encouraging them to identify their problems (mouse or elephant) and talk through them.
Practicing calming techniques like deep breathing to manage stress
Reminding them that it’s okay to have bad days, and that we can always be kind to others who are struggling.
By practicing these tools together, we can help our children better manage their emotions and feel supported in tough moments.
