DISCOVERY 4TH GRADE MATH
During this class, students were expanding their comfort with large numbers and how to place them on number lines. Each table of students was given a series of number lines on paper strips. They were also given a set of numbers with the goal of figuring out which number belonged on which strip and exactly where on that strip. Link to 19 Pictures.
DISCOVERY 6TH GRADE
Mr. Marrin's students worked on an online assessment. When they finished with that task the returned to their work on a graphic art project depicting the origin story for local native Americans. Link to 11 pictures. 10-2-2023
WINNER OF THE RAFFLE FOR FAMILIES THAT COMPLETED THE HOUSEHOLD INCOME FORM
To enter the raffle, families had to submit the form by September 29th. The winner of the Family Fun Pack Raffle is Sonya Cueto! Congratulations! Enjoy your dinner at Lucky Buffet, movie at the Welden Theatre and swim at the Hard'ack pool!
WALKING WEDNESDAYS
There are 4 Walking Wednesdays scheduled this month. Get ready to walk with one of six different groups coming to St. Albans City School on Wednesdays. Link to map, meeting points and meet-up times
BIKING FRIDAYS IN OCTOBER (FROM HOUGHTON PARK TO SCHOOL)

Greetings from the Climate Committee! We are announcing Biking Fridays from Houghton Park during the month of October! If you don’t have a bike, walking is an option although bikers and walkers will not be kept together while getting to school.
Meet up at Houghton Park earliest at 6:50 and leaving at 7:00.
We are doing this because if you walk, bike, or carpool to school, it lessens air pollution and hopefully our actions will slow global warming.

Update: 5/6 Soccer players please show up at SACS wearing your uniforms at 4:30pm Tuesday, October 3rd for a team picture. Do not show up before 4:15. Your game starts at 5:00.
These pictures are for record keeping purposes and there is no fee for the athletes and their families. A digital version will be shared with the coaches to pass on to athletes.
