Next Year: Cell Phone Ban
New York State's cell phone ban goes into effect this September. Students, staff and advisory groups have spent a good deal of time working out exactly what that will look like for Rye Neck. On Friday, June 6th, 180 students pledged to try to make it most of the day without their phones! Nearly 40% of students who responded to the survey said they made it and that they didn't feel any different!
There will be a meeting for parents on Monday, June 23rd at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the law and our draft plan for the fall. If you would like to attend, please RSVP by June 18th. We will have more opportunities to meet in the fall.
I will attend the cell phone ban meeting! (Room TBD.)
