Springdale Schools will host the 6A State Basketball Tournament March 4 - March 8, 2025 at Springdale High School.
"Hosting the state basketball tournament is an incredible honor and a thrilling opportunity to showcase our state-of-the-art facilities, our talented student-athletes, and the pride of our community," Springdale Executive Athletic Director Keith Fimple said. "We're excited to welcome teams and fans from across the state to experience the energy and enthusiasm that make our community so special."
Superintendent of Springdale Schools, Dr. Jared Cleveland said, "We are elated to host in our new SHS Arena and welcome the state into our wonderful community."
The 6A State Basketball Tournament will feature 24 teams qualifying from around the State of Arkansas. With an anticipated total attendance of nearly 10,000, the Springdale Chamber President BIll Rogers said "Springdale is thrilled we will have the opportunity to showcase our great city and businesses to thousands of fans from across the state. It is a privilege to welcome them to the newest arena in the 6A classification."
Springdale High School Bulldog Arena has hosted several high-profile events this year. In August, the Springdale Chamber of Commerce featured the 58th Annual Springdale Chamber Teacher Appreciation Event. The event included a breakfast provided by McDonald’s, a vendor fair with more than 100 participating businesses, prize giveaways and a ribbon cutting for the school's new gymnasium.
In October, SHS hosted a Mental Health Pep Rally featuring the University of Arkansas Men's Basketball Team and the University of Kansas Men's Basketball Team. Both Head Coach John Calipari and Head Coach Bill Self attended the pep rally.
