BCPS Fine Arts Pathways - 2024-2025
BCPS offers a comprehensive Fine Arts Pathways program from PreK through 12th grade, covering Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts. The program emphasizes creative expression, performance, and critical thinking, ensuring that students develop both artistic literacy and 21st-century skills.
Volunteer Opportunities
BCPS fourth and seventh graders are participating in interactive career awareness and financial literacy experiences at Junior Achievement (JA), this school year, and would greatly benefit from your support as a volunteer! Please consider volunteering, or better yet, creating a "Day of Service" volunteer outing for you and your co-workers or community organization. You can learn more about volunteering in the BCPS JA BizTown Volunteer Flyer and JA Finance Park Volunteer Flyer. The flyers link to the BCPS volunteer page that includes a calendar with days BCPS schools are visiting JA and need volunteers.
Both JA experiences take place on a field trip to the expansive Junior Achievement of Central Maryland Youth Workforce and Innovation Center (1725 Twin Springs Rd, Baltimore, MD 21227). You can learn more about JA of Central Maryland in this three-minute video: Welcome to Junior Achievement of Central Maryland's Youth Workforce & Innovation Center, the JA of Central Maryland website, or dive deeper on the JA of Central Maryland YouTube channel.
We can't wait to see you there! Questions about the Junior Achievement experience for students? Email Mike Barberesi (mbarberesi@bcps.org), BCPS CTE Specialist for JA. Questions about volunteering? Email Liz Stoll (lstoll@jamaryland.org), Volunteer Manager of Volunteer Services for JA.
