AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US - Jn. 1:14
December 2018 Highlights
We hope everyone had a relaxing Christmas and New Years break!!!
Following Jesus' example of loving others has been something highlighted in our youth this past month, from fellowship within our congregation to loving our neighbor. We have enjoyed the various fellowship opportunities from the Star Wars movie marathon (shout out to Nathan D. for being the sole survivor!!!) and the fun/craziness of the White Elephant Christmas Party.
A big highlight, which is something we will keep on the calendar next year, was the City Team Toy Delivery. Our youths and families involved shared how much they really enjoyed sharing a piece of the love of Christ with families that are less fortunate. Hopefully, this was a moment where they saw that Christmas is bigger than just them; and how Christ wants us to love others as ourselves.

Good luck to all those who are involved in athletics and extra curricula activities this winter!!! Don't forget to send us your schedule so we can cheer you on!!!
Don't forget to check on what we're learning about in Sunday School and Power Up below, as well as some of the events happening in January.

Sunday School and Power Up!
Sunday School (9 am)
In Sunday School, the middle school is journeying through the What's Up! study. So far in, we have studied, from Unit 1, how natural our sinful behavior is and that the only way to conquer that is through our Lord, Jesus Christ. As we start Unit 2, we will take a closer look at the heart conditions behind our behavior, both sinful behavior and godly living.
High school students are invited, and encouraged, to come to Sunday School as we are embarking on a journey through John Stott's Basic Christianity, and discussing the various historical facts on which Christianity stands. The goal is that this will enhance our faith in the Gospel and better prepare us for the future.
Power Up
New Day: Sunday (Time TBD)
In Power Up! we are starting a 5-week series entitled "Deep." This series focuses on how we can grow stronger, more confident, and deeper in our relationship with Christ. This month we will look at how God uses our actions, not just our knowledge, and people to grow our faith. In addition, we will play games, worship, as well as, spend time in small groups and prayer.
