College, Career, & Military Expo
Over 75 college, career, and military representatives attended NCISD's College, Career, and Military Expo, October 3rd. LOTS of parents and students were present to learn and gather information. It was a great turnout!!
CCMR Coffee Chat
High School Counselors met at NCHS' College and Career Center, September 25th, for college and career readiness professional development. An admissions representative from the University of Houston gave an overview on the admissions review process. Sgt. Benton from the US Marines provided information on the NROTC Scholarship. Gaby Oliveros- Hernandez from the Multilingual Department presented data on advanced academics for emergent bilingual students. New Caney ISD continues to prepare students to enroll in postsecondary institutions or to enter a career of their choice.
FAFSA Is Coming!
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) opens in December this year. The FAFSA is good at 4 year and 2 year universities and colleges and many trades and career schools.
There will be day and evening workshops offered to assist families to navigate the FAFSA and other Financial Aid questions. Keep your eyes open for futures dates and session times available soon.
