Hello Main Street Family!

Happy New Year!

I trust you had and enjoyable break spending time with family and friends! We are ready to welcome our students back on Monday, January 6, 2025! We are moving full steam ahead. There is a lot of ground to cover the second half of the year. Please ensure your students are here on time to get every bit of instruction!

Please take advantage of the parent opportunities listed below.

We are monitoring the forecast for Monday closely. In the event of a school closing, I will notify you via email land robocall. The local news stations will also be notified. Follow information regarding Chester-Upland School District. Announcements will also be posted on the Chester Upland School District's website. (www.chesteruplandsd.org)

Parents and Guardians:

Chromebooks or other technological devices are used in class for students to complete assignments and assessments.. Students may not download games, wallpapers or participate in video group discussions. Improper use of technology could result in the student losing privileges of using the school's device.

Your donations permitted us along with the members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and others to distribute these bags of complete meals including a turkey to over 50 families!!!

Mrs. Anderson's fifth grade homeroom and Ms. Tiller's kindergarten classes will receive a pizza party for rendering the most donations!

Parents:

Please refrain from making u turns in the car line during dismissal. The safety of our children and parents is of utmost importance to us. We would like to move the cars through the line without any disruptions.

It is important your child(ren) attend school every day. The chart below indicates how much instruction your child(ren) will miss if they are not present.

Join the PTO!

PTO meetings will meet the second Thursday of the month. Our next PTO meeting will be Thursday, January 23, 2024.

The items in our lost and found is growing. Please have your children retrieve their items. All items not claimed by Thursday will be donated to Goodwill.
