CMS Toppers: News From the Middle!
3.16.25
Topper Up!
Top of the morning to ya Topper families! Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day...may the luck o' the Irish be with all!
In this edition of CMS News from the Middle you will find a very important letter from Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Stuart with some very near dates for 2025-26 scheduling as well as a reminder about our Student Council Spring Week that starts tomorrow!
I will share with all families a separate Infinite Campus message this week with details about upcoming state testing that begins mid-April following Spring Break. Please be on the lookout for that message.
We are into Spring, but appreciate your efforts to ensure that students are prepared for outdoor activities and recess when coming to school!
A special THANK YOU to all of 6th and 7th graders at Glow Fest for making it a night to remember for my son Leo! All of you made his night with the high five's, first bumps, and glow sticks you gave him. He was thrilled!
Be well and enjoy the sun,
Craig Caroff
CMS Student Council Spring Spirit Week is this week!
Builder's Club Paper Towel Drive is March 31-April 4!
Builder’s Club is hosting a paper towel drive from March 31st to April 4th. All proceeds will go to Rescue Village animal shelter. Rescue Village is Geauga County’s humane society and takes care of animals year round. Rolls of paper towels are an important resource for Rescue Village as they care for animals in need.
Paper towels will be collected in homeroom classes. For each roll of paper towels brought in, students will receive a ticket to put into a raffle for the opportunity to win a gift card! Last year, we collected over 150 rolls of paper towels. Let’s see if we can beat it this year! Please contact Amanda Weaver amanda.weaver@chardonschools.org if you have any questions.

NEW Message from Ms. Jenn in the CMS Clinic
Hello Parents
We are still seeing Flu, Strep, pinkeye
Please review good hand washing with your kids
Please review proper cough etiquette with them as well
Kids have to be fever-free for 24 hours and have no use of Tylenol or Motrin the 24 hours prior to returning to school.
If your child is ill please keep them at home. If they do come to school I will assess them, do an intervention, and follow the school health guidelines before calling you.
6th-grade parents, please remember that the 7th-grade vaccines ( tetanus and a meningitis vaccine) are due in August. If I emailed you, I do not have dates from the State vaccine website.
Please continue to call the office or me with anything that is considered contagious.
If I have given your child any replacement clothing, if you can kindly wash it and bring it back to me. I am running low and wet recess days are ahead of us.
Please feel free to call me with any questions/concerns
Thank you
Jennifer Trittschuh RN BSN LSN
