The Family Equity Council is a group of caregivers who meet at least monthly with Aaron Tarnutzer, District Administrator, and Brittany Brazzel, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Coordinator. These meetings are an opportunity to lift the voices and experiences of our current students and families by providing the district with direct feedback. This group is open to all caregivers.

The next meeting is February 21, at 6:00pm in the Multi Purpose Room at WIS, enter at door K.

FEBRUARY IS

Kindness Month

• During Kindness Month we want to emphasize the power of kindness. This year, we are not only celebrating acts of compassion but also taking a stand against bullying in all its forms.

Black History Month

• Black History Month is a time to celebrate the achievements and history of African Americans. Let's spend time learning about incredible people and their stories of how they worked to make this world a better place for all.
  

Career & Technical Education (CTE) Month

• This month we think about and appreciate all of the wonderful ways CTE can help students reach their goals.
  

Presidents Day - February 19

• Today we honor the great leaders who have guided our country.

• Today is George Washington Day. As the first president of the United States, he set the stage for our democracy. Let's remember his strong leadership and dedication to liberty.
