Principal's Notes

This week we observe Oculi Sunday, the Third Sunday of Lent, historically known as Scrutiny-Sunday, a time for preparing catechumens for Easter Baptism. We encourage your children to engage in self-reflection and spiritual growth during this Lenten season, emphasizing the importance of preparing our hearts for Easter and living the Gospel through acts of kindness. In school, we will continue our Lenten observances, and we appreciate your support in reinforcing these themes at home.


St. Patrick's Day Parade: What a beautiful day coming together to celebrate with our local community. We had a tremendous turn out, and the biggest truck we've ever had! A special thank you to our very own Greg McCombe for taking the time to drive the float for SBS! We also extend our gratitude to Supreme Energy in Weymouth for donating the big rig and to Meadowbrook Mulch & Erosion Control for generously providing the flatbed. A great day!

Teacher Spotlight - Mrs. Read - Grade 6 Writing

In Miss Healey and Ms. McBride’s Pre Kindergarten classroom, the students have been learning about God’s gift of birds and fish during religion. The students learned how birds are a gift from God and they have also been talking about ways to take care of birds. For a classroom project the students made bird feeders. First they spread nut butter on a toilet paper tube and then pressed bird seeds into the nut butter. Then they made a way to hang the toilet paper tube to a tree. Feeding the birds is a great way to get kids involved with nature and teach our children how to observe and feed wild animals.
