Great week at Crestwood
Our Veterans Day Celebration included a breakfast reception for our Veterans, adult family members and students! Great food, great stories, & meaningful connections.
After the reception, our students lined the hallway to give our Veterans an honor walk into the gym for the assembly program. A great day to honor the service of our veterans, & for our students to learn about the living history
A huge thanks to our PTO for organizing the food. Thanks the Barn Restaurant & Accent Group Printing for sponsoring the beverages!
Storytelling Festival comes to Crestwood
Clair Hennessy from the St. Louis County Library visited Crestwood, delighting us with her engaging storytelling and fostering a love for stories in our community.
The Wild Things were at the 3rd grade concert!
3rd grade had an amazing performance!
"Johnny B. Goode"
Marty McFly showed up at the 5th grade concert!
Crestwood Lunches - January to May
Sample Lunches in Catering boxes
Flexibility, positive attitudes and resilience will ensure students and staff have a great 2nd half of the school year! Watch the video above to learn more about how we will be shifting our current Gym space into our Cafeteria and have lunches be eaten in classrooms, starting in January.
This temporary shift will allow Prop R renovations to stay on schedule to complete all work on our campus by August of 2025 (light at the end of the tunnel).

Crestwood Cares program
Hello Crestwood!
This year we will be raising funds at school and gathering donations from the community for gift cards for our families through the Giving Tree-a Crestwood Elementary tradition! Each family will receive support for groceries, gas, a family experience, and gifts. The items listed in the Giving Tree (coming soon) have been requested specifically to fit the needs of each family.
We love to have the kids participate and so we will hold three "Fun Friday" events to collect their donations (donation not required to participate). We encourage kids to do something helpful around the house to earn some change, or use their own money for these days.
Collections will be taken up in classrooms each of these Fridays:
Next events:
Nov 22- Beach Day (Wear Summer Clothes!)
Dec 6-Decades Day (Pick your favorite time period and dress accordingly!)
Thanks, in advance, for all of your support. We'd also like to thank former Crestwood student Grace Harris for her volunteer efforts with this project.
Watch for more reminders and the Giving Tree link sign-up in the upcoming weeks!

District updates
Winter Weather Reminder for Families
As colder weather approaches, now is a good time to remind families and staff how we prepare for potential school closures that can result from snow, ice, or other severe weather events. The district decides to close school based on a number of factors, including student safety, bus transportation, road conditions and wind chill temperature.
When possible, the decision to close school is made by 10 p.m. the night before. However, if the decision cannot be made by 10 p.m., then a decision will be made between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. the next morning. If the decision is made to cancel school, all families and staff will receive a phone call, text message and email notification.
