Medication Pick-up: DUE JUNE 2
Fremont School District has set up guidelines for the administration and transportation of medications at school. These guidelines have been established in order to ensure the safety and well being of all children.
Parents and guardians are responsible for picking up any medication at the end of the school year. All medication, including inhalers and Epi-Pens, must be picked up by 4:00 p.m. on June 2, 2025. Please make arrangements to pick up your child’s medication. Medication will not be sent home on the bus with your child. Any medications left after June 2 will be disposed of.
If your child will be attending any summer school programs, please let the nurse of your respective building know, and those medications can be picked up on the last day of their summer school session.
As a reminder, new medication authorization forms will need to be filled out by the child’s physician each school year. Forms can be found on the school website in the Health Services section.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter. If you have any questions, please contact the nurse's office.
Ivanhoe Village Updates
Throughout the 2024-2025 school year, we have kept our community apprised of the forthcoming Ivanhoe Village project and its potential impact on our community. We truly appreciate everyone who has joined us in our efforts to advocate for our schools and our current taxpayers.
We recently learned of two additional forthcoming developments within our District boundaries. Walnut Ridge by Pulte in Mundelein is expected to produce approximately 140 single-family homes, while Hawthorn Woods Country Club is slated to add another 60 homes to its community. Since 2021, the total new residential developments will reach approximately 750 units (not including Ivanhoe Village) once these projects are completed.
While Fremont School District 79 limits the amount of communications that we share with our families during the summer months, we will continue to keep our community apprised of Ivanhoe Village updates as warranted in the coming weeks and months. Please visit our Ivanhoe Village Updates webpage for more information.
Mayor Meier Visit
Thank you to new Village of Mundelein mayor Robin Meier for stopping by to tour our Fremont schools this week. We look forward to continuing the open lines of communication as well as having our District administrators tour Village facilities.

Summer Online Learning Access
This Summer Online Learning Access document highlights the programs that students have access to over the summer, should you wish to access them for independent summer learning. These are the same online, personalized, self-paced, student-directed programs FSD79 uses during the school year. Prior to summer break, your child’s current classroom teacher(s) will provide reminders regarding the necessary login information needed to access these tools.
