Dear Bobcat Families,

Congratulations to our BJH Classified Employee of the Year, Francia Vargas! Francia is our Library-Media Specialist.

Parents of English Learner students are encouraged to attend the ELAC meeting this Thursday at 9:00 a.m. The meeting takes place in the school library. If your student has been classified as an English Learner (EL) it is important for you to stay up-to-date on information pertaining to their language development, reclassification, state test scores, etc. Hope to see you there!

It is official! BJH now has a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Thanks to all who came to the meeting last week. We had just enough attendees for a quorum. Our first event as a PTO occurs on March 18th. See the flyer below for details regarding the Meet & Greet event. We look forward to telling you more about PTO and opportunities to get involved and stay connected. This event is for current and future Bobcat families!

Sisters, Charlotte and Evelyn Nethers take 2nd place at this weekend's National History Day Competition! They entered in the junior group documentary category. The title of their entry is "The Birth of the American Teenager: A 1950's Turning Point of Boundary Crossers, Rebel Rousers and Unlikely Heroes." The girls received a blue ribbon. The awards ceremony is this week. Way to go ladies!
