PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Trojan Families,
The 4th quarter is here, and report cards will be shared with students tomorrow, March 24. Please review your child's grades and work together to establish a plan for any subject areas in which they may not be performing as well as we'd like in order to finish this last nine weeks strong.
In addition to academic performance, we want to emphasize the importance of student attendance. Regular attendance is a critical factor in a student's success. If your child is absent, please ensure that you submit a note (parent or doctor) within three days upon their return to school.
Your involvement and support are vital to our students' growth and success, and we are grateful for your partnership in helping Northwestern excel. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Job Shadow/WIN Testing
Tuesday, March 25 is our campus wide Job Shadowing & Testing Day. Juniors and 3rd year students will report to campus for WIN Testing. Freshman, Sophomores, and Seniors will report to their job shadowing site. We have a digital form to complete after your job shadowing experience. CLICK HERE for job shadow digital form on Tuesday.
School Climate Survey

How do I access the form? (Click here)
Student Survey: 9th and 10th graders will complete the survey on Monday March 24th during WIN advisory. 11th and 12th graders will complete the survey on Monday March 31st during WIN advisory.
In partnership,
Michael Abraham
Principal
SCHOOL CLIMATE SURVEY
Feedback is invaluable in helping us create a positive and supportive learning environment. Please take a few moments to complete the Parent Climate Survey, accessible through the Parent Portal.
Students and teachers will also participate in the School Climate Survey. The survey is a valuable tool that provides actionable feedback on the perceptions of both teachers and students regarding the climate within our schools and district. Your child's input, along with that of our dedicated educators, helps us identify areas of strength and areas for improvement.
It's essential to note that achieving an 80% completion rate for the survey is crucial. Falling below this threshold for any district, school, or student subgroup could result in negative rating values on the SC School report card. Your participation and support in ensuring a high completion rate are greatly appreciated.
As parents, you play a vital role in preparing our students for this survey. I kindly ask that you communicate the importance of providing honest and thoughtful responses to your child. Please tell them when they read each item on the survey, think about the entire school year rather than a specific event or something that happened once or twice. Emphasize that their feedback is instrumental in shaping the future of our school community. Student answer choices will be as follows: 1 = Disagree, 2 = Mostly Disagree, 3 = Mostly Agree, or 4 = Agree for each sentence. Students will do their best to decide. If students do not know anything about the subject or the statement does not apply to them, they will mark 5= No Answer.” (For example, students attending a virtual school would mark “No Answer” to a question about the cleanliness of the school bathrooms.)
Confidentiality Notice:
Although surveys are completed through PowerSchool apps, the surveys are confidential. The district and schools are not provided access to individual student or teacher responses. Summary data are provided and analyzed by student subgroups in accordance with federal reporting mandates.
Parent Portal
Please complete the survey by April 1. I would appreciate it if you would please log in and complete it as soon as you are done reading this newsletter. Only one survey may be completed per student.
If you haven't registered for the Parent Portal, please take a moment to reach out to our school’s clerk for your login information. Once you have access, simply follow the directions on the district's website to set up your portal and complete the survey.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our school community. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that every voice is heard.
