A Message from Dr. Ortiz, Principal of Sandy Run

Good afternoon, Sandy Run Families,

It is hard to believe that the calendars will soon turn to November, but the fall has been a great first two months. Recently, our sixth grade science classes visited the planetarium to learn about the body systems in some exciting ways; Mr. Meyer led our student council candidates through a great leadership opportunity; our fall sports teams are wrapping up their seasons on some very high notes; and much more!


As you may have noticed, we have recently reserved parking spaces near the front of the entrance for families and other visitors to welcome them into Sandy Run. If you are dropping off items, attending a meeting, or coming to the building for any reason, please park there - we made it as close and convenient as possible. While this adds to families' experiences, it also helps to ensure that should emergency personnel need to access the campus, there are not any cars parked along the curb and blocking access to the campus. We are thankful for our facilities department for making this happen.

SpeakUp!- Parenting Adult Coffee on Social Media

  • We're offering an in-person coffee flyer on Friday, November 10th and a virtual coffee flyer on Wednesday, November 15th.


The UDHS Sophisticated Strings

  • We will be hosting a Halloween Concert event on Sunday October 29 at 2pm in the SRMS Auditorium. This event is especially programmed for students in grades K-6 but all are welcome. Join us for about 30 minutes of music followed by games, instrument demos, and trick or treat! Come in costume and bring your own treat bag! Hope to see you there!


“Send a Boo” for UDHS MiniTHON

  • "Halloween is right around the corner! Support Upper Dublin High School MiniTHON in the fight against pediatric cancer by purchasing a "Boo(a bag of sweet treats)" for your friends, family and staff. All "Boo's" will be delivered to the recipient by October 31st. All proceeds go to the Four Diamonds families and the fight to end pediatric cancer!!! Here is the link to sign up to send a "Boo."


UDHS Basketball Camp

  • UDHS Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Derek Brooks and the Upper Dublin Varsity and JV players are running a basketball camp for boys and girls in grades 4-8 on Saturday November 11 from 9 AM - 12 noon at Upper Dublin High School. See the attached flyer Basketball training
