Thank you to Mrs. Walter for organizing a successful Spirit Night (and week!!!). A special shout out to Mr. Zaun for hosting the event. I enjoyed watching all three grades smile and enjoy friendly competition with their peers. All three grades worked hard and together to do their best in each event. Congrats to our 7th graders for taking home 1st place. Also, a special shout out to Mrs. Karr-Parente, Mr. McGee, Miss Decker, Ms. Allen, Mrs. Parker, Ms. Pacione, Mrs. Flanagan and Mrs. McGilberry for their support of the event!

A huge shout out & thank you to Miss Odd and our Riverton PD for helping organize and run our annual Bike Rodeo. A special thank you to Mrs. Devonshire for helping organize the Bike Rodeo Poster Contest and for supporting our community on Saturday as well! Riverton children enjoyed a bike trip around the neighborhood with Spiderman before working their way through the obstacle course on our blacktop.

We are looking for enthusiastic leaders to help cheer for our Riverton Raiders this year. No experience is necessary. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Sutcliffe- lsutcliffe@riverton.k12.nj.us, or Mrs. Miller-smiller@riverton.k12.nj.us

For any 7th and 8th grade boys and girls interested in playing middle school basketball this season:

Please make sure all interested students are signed up and physical forms are submitted by November 21st. This will clear your child for play, and they will not be cleared to practice or play until physical forms are received. November 21st and 22nd will be our first practices with the girls' team at 3:10 pm and the boys' team at 4:45 pm. Practices will continue after Thanksgiving break Mondays through Thursdays at 3:10 pm for the girls' team and 4:45 for the boys' team until our first games on December 12th. When games begin, practice days will vary based on our weekly game schedule.

Our 7th Grade Human Impact Project combines research, education, and an action plan. A couple of groups have organized events to raise awareness and donations to their causes. Below are the dates & events:

Friday, November 4: Make the Coral Reefs Colorful Again! Wear Blue and donate $1 to the Ocean Conservancy Organization.

Friday, November 4 - 18: Just Reuse It! Purple Heart Clothing Drive-Support our veterans and support our Riverton School Clothing Drive! Clothes will be collected in Ms. Allen's room.

Wednesday, November 9: Save the Trees! Stop Deforestation! Wear Green & donate $1 to https://onetreeplanted.org/

Monday, November 14, 3:15 - 4 p.m.: Delaware River Cleanup - Middle School Students will meet at the flagpole where bags and gloves will be distributed. Rain Date: Wednesday, November 16.

Tuesday, November 15: SAVE THE IBERIAN LYNX! Donate $1 to save the lynx and receive your own pair of cat ears!
