- Bus riders will be taken to the gym and placed onto their assigned buses from there.
- Car Riders will remain in designated classrooms until it is confirmed that their ride is in the car line at the front of the school.
- Each student will receive a set of car/bag tags to be used for pick up identification during the school year.
- Parents/Care givers should display the car tag in their front window so that staff members can easily read them. Staff will communicate the tag number to ensure students are out front when their ride is confirmed to be in the line.
- SPECIAL REQUEST FOR THE 1ST DAY OF SCHOOL - PLEASE DISPLAY YOUR STUDENT/S GRADE AND LAST NAME/S ON THE FRONT OF YOUR VEHICLE'S WINDOW. THIS WILL HELP STAFF GET STUDENTS OUT AS EFFICIENTLY AS POSSIBLE SINCE CAR TAGS HAVE NOT BEEN RECEIVED. PLEASE DO NOT DISPLAY LAST YEAR'S NUMBERS AS STUDENTS HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED NEW NUMBERS FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR.

- Walkers will exit the building as follows:
- 3rd-5th grade students will exit through the intermediate wing doors on the right of the main entrance (when facing the school) and walk out to the front side walk near the driveway.
- 6th grade students will exit from the rear of the building along the right of the main entrance (when facing the school) and also walk out to the front side walk near the driveway.
NOTE: Early dismissal needs MUST be addressed by 3p.
To maintain a safe campus for everyone during dismissal we have made a key change to the routine. No students will be dismissed out of the connector doors. For this reason, we ask that no one is on the paved surfaces in the rear of the school, the big playground near the gym or the courtyard until the school buses have left.

Seeking Parent Reps for Kilgour LSDMC
Calling all parents and caregivers! Do you have ideas, energy and insight to help Kilgour be the very best it can be? Our Local School Decision Making Committee (LSDMC) needs YOU!
LSDMC is the governing board of parents, teachers, staff and community members which helps shape the educational and extracurricular experience of Kilgour School. We are seeking two Parent Representatives!
One parent rep will serve a standard two-year term (2024-2026). One parent rep will serve one year (2024-2025) of a two-year term that was already initiated by a board member who is moving out-of-state. Parent reps attend twice monthly meetings during the school year and help shape and execute the school's strategic plan.

SAVE THE DATE... KILGOUR'S ANNUAL SILENT AUCTION
⚽ A MESSAGE FROM OUR SOCCER COORDINATORS ⚽
Kilgour Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for your interest in having your Kindergartener participate in the fall. Kilgour Kindergarten Soccer Program organized by Kilgour Sports Boosters. The Kindergarten Soccer Program will begin Friday September 6th and the program overview is
listed below.
If you would like to register your child, please complete the registration form by clicking on the
following link: https://kilgoursports.sportngin.com/register/form/653386383
In addition, we will definitely need volunteer help to make the program run! This program can only happen with volunteers and you don’t need to know anything about soccer to volunteer! Please consider helping out and fill out the volunteer section in the registration form.
Program Overview
- Dates: Friday Evenings, September 6th thru October 18th
- Time: 6:00 – 7:00 PM
- Place: Kilgour Soccer Field
- Cost: $15 - Cost includes a Kilgour soccer shirt
Note - Children must be enrolled in Kindergarten at Kilgour to participate.
Details
This is an informal program to introduce young children to the basics of soccer during several one-hour sessions on Friday evenings. The program will include skill building exercises, running, games and short-sided scrimmages. Parents are encouraged to stay at the field to observe the activities, assist as needed, and socialize with other Kindergarten parents. Kilgour School has a wonderful soccer program affiliated with the Soccer Association for Youth (SAY); however, Kindergarteners do not start participation in the SAY program until the Spring season, so this introduction is intended to get children ready for SAY soccer. This program is not affiliated with SAY Soccer.
The main emphasis is to have FUN. The idea of the program is to give children a love for an organized athletic activity. In addition, we help them to learn to respect coaches and referees. Although soccer can be quite competitive, this program is not. There will not be games against other schools. The goal is to be able to play a full field scrimmage by the last day. We will not keep score.
Volunteers Needed!
We also need parent volunteers to help. The Kindergarten Soccer program is parent run and cannot happen without your help. You do not have to have any coaching experience. Volunteer activities include running drill stations, field set up and prep, and organizing the drills.
Additionally, we are looking for someone who would be willing to manage the overall Friday night sessions. In coaching, as with parenting, the program advocates motivating with positive reinforcement when children do well. Please look for positive things to discuss with your child about the program.
Gear
Your young athlete will need a size-3 soccer ball, shin guards and athletic shoes to participate. The shin guards should be covered with socks. Soccer cleats are not required at this age. This year we will be providing your child with a Kilgour soccer shirt they will be expected to wear for each Friday night session so we can equally divide the kids in separate groups. Please indicate the shirt size for your child when you register. Children cannot participate if they have casts or are wearing jewelry.
If you have any questions please reach out to Sarah Roche and Justin Dobbs at kilgourboyssoccer@gmail.com
Thank you!!
