The Association for Compensatory Educators of Texas ~ Scholarship Opportunity
The Association for Compensatory Educators of Texas (ACET) is an association of school administrators and teachers who work in programs across the state designed to support students who historically have a more difficult time in school due to language, economic and other barriers. Our Association offers twenty $1000 scholarships across the state to students who have, at some time in their school career, been enrolled in a compensatory education program.
Additionally, ACET offers four $1000 scholarships to paraprofessionals who are currently working in a compensatory education program and do not currently hold a bachelor’s degree. Applicants must be pursuing a degree and teacher certification. Compensatory Education includes programs such as Title I, Bilingual/ESL, State Compensatory Education (SCE), Migrant and Homeless.

2017/18 Federal Report Cards
2017/18 Federal Report Cards are now available on the TEA website.
Each LEA that received Title I, Part A funding is responsible for disseminating the State, LEA and campus-level report cards to 1) all LEA campuses, 2) to parents of all enrolled students, and 3) to make the information widely available through public means such as posting on the Internet, distribution to the media, or distribution through public agencies.
At a minimum, the LEA must – (Section1111(h)(2))
- Post direct links to the STATE, LEA, and campus report cards on its web site,
- Make hard copies available to parents upon request,
- Make hard copies available for viewing in public locations, and
- Notify parents of all students about the availability of the federal report card information no later than Monday, March 4, 2019.

Accountability 2019: How do we stay off an accountability list?
The Accountability 2019 workshop is for ALL ESC 17 Districts and will have important information on how state and federal accountability applies to districts and campuses. What outcomes puts campuses/districts on a list, and what is the exit criteria for being removed from a list. All campus and districts are welcome, but campuses or districts with a D or F overall or in any domains are encouraged to attend.
We want to make sure you have the information you need to be proactive in impacting student outcomes in 2019!

This workshop is available to all district/campus leadership and/or teams.
Important information on state and federal school improvement designations such as Improvement Required, Comprehensive, Targeted Support, and Additional Targeted Support will be presented.
This workshop is specifically important for any district/campus with a D or F rating or domain in the 2018 Accountability Rating System.
