SJF Jr. NEWS
APRIL 2025
FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
Dear SJFJr Community,
As we embrace the month of May and the beautiful warmer days it brings, we are filled with a renewed sense of energy and excitement! The sunshine is lifting everyone’s spirits, and we are thrilled to see students enjoying more time outdoors. However, we kindly remind you that mornings can still be quite chilly — please ensure your child dresses in layers to stay comfortable throughout the day.
Even as we welcome the joys of spring, our commitment to learning remains strong. Students are continuing to work hard to prepare for upcoming evaluations and to finish the school year at their very best. To keep their school experience vibrant and balanced, we have planned a variety of fun activities that complement their academic efforts, making school life both enriching and joyful.
We are so proud of the enthusiasm and dedication our students show each day. I wish everyone a beautiful month of May, filled with growth, happiness, and success!
Warm regards,
Mme Durand

🧩 Mega Maze Ped Day – May 9th

Please make sure your child arrives by 8:45 AM at the latest.
Registrations were sent out April 28th and are due by May 2nd.
Field trips like these help our students build relationships, learn new skills, and make lasting memories. We would love to hear your feedback on this year’s Ped Days – feel free to share your thoughts with us!
📅 Looking Ahead: 2025–2026 School Year
Registration for the next school year will begin in mid-May and run through June. Stay tuned for more details.
🧣 Entrepreneurial Program Highlights
We are so proud of our students’ achievements this year, especially with the Cozy Scarf Project, which won locally and went on to the regional committee! Although it wasn’t selected at that level and no funding was provided this year, our students continued to work hard and completed their initiatives.
Here are the amazing projects:
- Green Kids: Composting for a Better Tomorrow
- Bracelets of Friendship: Connecting Generations
- Upcycling: Turning Trash into Treasure!
- Kindy Crafters
- Cozy Scarfs
Way to go, SEED students!
🥪 Free Subway Lunch – May 20
Thanks to Mme Durand, the lunch program will be offering a free Subway lunch to all students.
A Google form will be sent out on May 5th with more details.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in the SEED program. Let’s make this a May to remember!
Warmly,
The SEED Team
