Husky Howler 11/22/24 (Community)
We are the PACK!
Smiley Thoughts
PACK Guardians and Students,
Tag, you're it! I hope you enjoy the next week with your student and reflect on all the many things we have to be thankful for. When we get back from break we have three more solid weeks of instruction before the Christmas break and the next report card grades go in.
Attention 8th graders! - We are excited to have our Huskies go to the CTC on Tuesday, December 3rd for the annual CTC Explorations event! What do you need to know as a parent? Your 8th grader will be bused to the CTC from Hubbard and will either be in an A.M. or P.M. group based upon their 8th grade class. We are also switching lunches and they will have lunch from 12:00-12:30 instead of 12:50-1:20pm. Here are the groups that you can check with your child about.
- A.M. Group - At CTC 9:45-11:10 (Adams B2, Veatch A3,Studinka A2/3&B2/3)
- P.M. Group - At CTC 1:00-2:25 (Adams A4, Veatch A4&B4, Studinka A4&B4/5th)
Progress Reports - Just a reminder that parents can check their child's progress reports online. Grades were due for progress reports Friday, November 22nd and will be posted when we come back from the break.
Progress Report - There is a NEW tab in the online parent portal (and student portal) labeled "progress report." This is ran every three weeks so you will have two of these each 9 week grading period. This is what we use to determine VIP status and is a snapshot of your student's progress at that particular date.
Report Card - There is still the "report card" tab on the parent portal which displays the students CURRENT average for the current reporting period. We have official report card grades every 9 weeks. You can click their average in the report card tab to see their individual grades on assignments.
I highly recommend visiting the "notifications" tab on your parent portal account to notify you of your students grades based upon your family standards. Thank you for assisting us in your child's education!

Leaving Early - If you are picking your child up early from school please do so by 3:15 p.m. We do not allow students to be checked out after 3:15 p.m. since this could hamper our dismissal procedures and ability to retrieve multiple students before the bell.
