The Prowler
Week of January 13-17, 2025
From Mr. Moreno's Desk:
Teachers, Staff, Parents, and Students,
RHMS Administration is excited to share that our first week back after the Christmas holiday went smoothly. Teachers, staff, and students returned well-rested and ready to embrace the challenges ahead in the Spring semester. Next week will mark the conclusion of the third six-week period and the end of the first semester for the 2024-2025 school year.
We are currently organizing after-school tutorial sessions for the upcoming weeks. Starting Monday, January 13th, 7th grade students will begin tutorials for Reading and Math. These sessions are designed to reinforce key skills covered during the first semester and to fulfill requirements for accelerated instruction under HB1416. Students who did not meet the passing standard on the 2024 STAAR assessments are required to complete 15-30 hours of accelerated instruction based on their performance. Tutorials will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays for selected 7th grade students. Information for other grade levels and subjects will be shared soon. We kindly ask for your support in ensuring your child(ren) attend these recommended tutorials to help them succeed. Our dedicated teachers will continue to work closely with students across all subjects as we prepare for the upcoming STAAR assessments in April 2025.
As always, we encourage parents to prioritize daily school attendance. Our goal is to maintain a minimum attendance rate of 96% for the year, and we truly appreciate your partnership in helping us achieve this important objective.

#ThoughtForTheDay... "Sometimes I think we put so much emphasis on managing kids we lose sight of what really matters. Rather than focus on a student's behavior maybe we should focus on understanding the reason for the behavior in order to make a stronger connection.” #Culturize @casas_jimmy
“Sometimes, the students who sometimes give you the most trouble are the ones who end up making the best leaders. It just takes someone believing in them.” @TechNinjaTodd
