Casey Families:

I am excited to share that this year during Homebase, each day will follow a theme aimed at setting students up for success. Mondays will feature restorative circles to build strong relationships and a sense of community. Tuesdays and Thursdays are dedicated to Sustained Silent Reading (SSR), promoting a love for reading. Wednesdays will focus on character education, where students will explore a different character strength each week. Fridays will wrap up the week with our traditional student-created video announcements, celebrating student voice and keeping everyone informed. These daily routines are designed to support personal growth and strengthen our school community throughout the year.

In addition, we are excited to partner with The Positivity Project to help students build positive relationships and develop strong character traits. Each Wednesday, students will focus on a different character strength, such as kindness, bravery, or teamwork, through engaging activities and discussions. These weekly lessons will empower students to better understand their own strengths, appreciate those of others, and contribute to a positive school culture. Families can support this initiative by continuing conversations about these character strengths at home, reinforcing the value of positive relationships in everyday life. Together, we strive to help students grow into their best selves both in and out of school.

EARLY RELEASES

If you are picking up your child for an early release that has been arranged with attendance, you will need to come to the Casey Main Entrance to physically sign your child out.

DROPPING OFF FORGOTTEN ITEMS

If you are dropping off an item for your student, please ensure the item is labeled with the student’s name. For your convenience, post-it notes are available in our lobby across from the green drop-off carts. For sanitary reasons, we ask that any clothing items or shoes be placed in a bag before dropping them off. Your cooperation is appreciated.

VISITORS TO CASEY

All District buildings, including Casey Middle School, are using the RAPTOR system to sign visitors in/out. Please be prepared to show Government ID, such as a valid driver’s license, upon entering Casey. We will scan your ID and issue a visitors badge to be worn for the duration of your visit.

The flier below was sent home with all students if you would like to send in cash or check with the order form. If you need another copy of the flier, you or your student may request one from the Main Office.
