Hawk Highlights
May 8, 2024
From our Principal
Dear Friends and Families of the Hollys,
It’s hard to believe we are heading into the final weeks of this amazing school year! We’re looking to finish strong, balancing hard work with celebrating our Holly Hawks’ successes. The positivity of our students and their joy for learning brightens our world each day. Likewise, the dedication, expertise and care our staff shares every single day is simply inspiring! We have experienced amazing success in student growth and achievement across the curriculum from fine arts to mathematics. PTCO fundraising efforts surpassed every goal. Our spring performances were spectacular. Holly Ridge field day was a blast and the Hills will be soon. Staff appreciation week was absolutely amazing. We are so humbled and appreciative of the care and kindness our Hollys community put into celebrating staff last week. The activities, meals and treats were so thoughtfully created by our students and family members to celebrate our staff! We thank you! We are so grateful for your continuous support. It is such an honor to be united in partnership with the Hollys community. Our community is what truly makes the Hollys a great place to learn and grow!
Together in education,
Molly Drvenkar
Principal
PTCO UPDATES
End-of-the-Year Celebration
Teachers, staff, students, and families are all invited to come out for our big end-of-the-year bash on Thursday, May 23. The party will be at Holly Ridge from 4:30-7:30 PM with grills, music, a magician, a Kona Ice truck, and more!
The Hollys Helpers will be offering a meal of a hamburger or hotdog, chips, and a drink for just $3. The Kona Ice truck will also be selling their sweet treats. Please bring lawn chairs and blankets and join us in celebrating an awesome year at The Hollys!
The Hollys Helpers NEED YOU!
We are the parents and the community members that support The Hollys. We need YOUR perspective, input, and help! Our approach is that building community matters far more than fundraising and that many hands make light work.
Please consider how you can get involved with The Hollys Helpers next year! Check out this sign-up to see the roles are available. (Many opportunities only require a few hours over the course of a school year!) You can also email us with any questions or ideas at hollyhawksptco@gmail.com or see the Hollys Helpers Hub for more information.

Important Information for Bus Riders
Dear CCSD parents/guardians:
There is a new and improved transportation app for families called My Ride K-12 that provides information about your child’s bus route. This My Ride K-12 app replaces the Ride360 app, which will be phased out on May 1.
To ensure continued access to information about your child’s bus route, please download the new My Ride K-12 app from your favorite app store and log in to your child’s account. The Ride360 app will no longer be available starting May 1. You can log in with your existing Ride360 user name and password.
IMPORTANT: To continue having access to real time information about your child’s bus route, you must download the new My Ride K-12 app before the Ride360 app goes away May 1.
You can download it here:
The new My Ride K-12 app has improved usability and more modern technology that will give families access to critical information, including estimated times of arrival and departure for your child’s bus.
Last year, CCSD launched a new transportation program with RFID cards for bus riders. The program was designed to increase safety, parent communication and bus route efficiency. The new My Ride K-12 app is an important and helpful tool for families whose students use bus transportation.

For other questions, please contact Teresa Peterson at tpeterson4@cherrycreekschools.org and 720-554-4647.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to continue providing safe and reliable bus transportation for your child.
Thank you,
Gary Thompson Director of Transportation
