Dear Brimmer families,
My name is Alissa Rosellini and I am the new Lower School Librarian. I am excited to get to know you and your children and as well as the rest of the Brimmer community. In library class, we will explore a variety of topics, from author studies to digital citizenship. I will also partner with classroom teachers to leverage the library's resources (online and print) to support student research projects. Meet the new librarian!
- I grew up in Indiana, but have also lived in Canada, Germany and Spain.
- I have been a librarian since 2011.
- My favorite part of being a librarian is seeing the joy on a student's face when they find a book that they love.
- Besides reading, I enjoy singing, walking in nature and spending time with my family.
- My favorite genres are historical fiction and fantasy.

Currently reading
This book was recommended to me by a Grade 5 student. I love the combination of emotional insights and laugh out loud moments. The author is unafraid to tackle difficult topics and leaves room for the characters to experience a kaleidoscope of feelings.
Fun fact: The cat in the story is named after Ivan from the book The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate.
