Winter Season Highlights
Boys Basketball
The varsity team went from 2 wins the season before to 14 wins this year.
Suburban Green Conference Champs
Darric Smith and Eli Tritinger were selected MBCA All District.
Darric Smith was selected as the Suburban Green Conference Player of the Year.
Eli Tritinger, Keylan Mitchell, and Henry Mohrmann were selected Suburban Green Honorable Mention All Conference.
Aedan Tweedie was selected for the Suburban Conference Sportsmanship Award.
Darric Smith and Eli Tritinger were selected to the All Tournament Team at the Ft. Zumwalt Tournament.
Hosted teacher appreciation night vs Parkway Central.
Cheer
Competed in the Game Day State Cheer Competition and placed 2nd.
Hosted “Bring a boy to Practice” where the boys performed with the cheerleaders at halftime of the girls basketball game.
Dance
Hosted a dance clinic for any K-8th grade students with a follow up performance at halftime of the varsity basketball game.
Girls Basketball
- Camyra Stovall and Lola Morton were selected MBCA All District.
Camyra Stovall and Lola Morton were selected to the Suburban Red Second Team All Conference.
Andie Hylan was selected for the Suburban Conference Sportsmanship Award.
Varsity girls basketball went on the road to defeat STEAM 43 - 38. Camyra Stovall had a career high 29 points.
London McWilliams had a season high 20 points on 8/11 shooting from the floor and three 3’s vs Ladue.
Laynie Morton made a team high 51 three pointers on the season.
Kiley Lolli made a season high 5 three pointers vs. Marquette.

Wrestling
Team placed 11th at the Esmond Ford Tournament @ Affton. The top viking placer was Tyler Jones who placed 3rd at 190. Parkway West results: Tyler Jones placed 1st and scored 28.0 team high points, Markell Kimmins and Landon Berger both placed 4th. Vianney Tournament results: Tyler Jones 1st @ 190 lbs, Aaron Sosna 6th at 126 lbs, Caden Wright 5th at 150 lbs. St. Clair Tournament Results: Markell Kimmins placed 5th at 120lbs, Aaron Sosna placed 5th at 126, Daniel Hennings Jr. placed 7th at 132, Caleb Hoskins placed 9th at 138, Adan Magana placed 7th at 138, Calvin Carothers placed 9th at 144, Josiah Conley placed 8th at 150, Landon Berger placed 7th at 175, Tyler Jones placed 3rd at 190. St. Charles Invitational results:. Tyler Jones placed 3rd @ 190 lbs and Markell Kimmins placed 4th @ 120lbs. Priory Invitational. Aaron Sosna placed 3rd at 126, Adan Magana placed 5th at 138, Caleb Hoskins placed 3rd at 144, Josiah Conley placed 6th at 150, Landon Berger placed 3rd at 175, Ian Delano placed 5th at 215. Tyler Jones qualified for the state tournament at 190 pounds as he placed second at districts.

- Valholla traveled to Kansas City to compete in the ICHSA Midwest Quarterfinals on February 18th.

Orchestra
Winter Performance 2/27 - All three orchestras had their winter concert performances. They played challenging and impressive repertoire at a high level improving upon their skills as musicians from the spring.
Large Group Ensemble Contest 3/1 - The Symphonic Orchestra participated in MSHSAA Large Group Organizational Contest at Hazelwood Central High School. The group played 3 contrasting works for 3 different adjudicators as well as sight reading. The group performed at the “Outstanding” level.
All-District Orchestra 3/6 - The Symphonic Orchestra collaborated with West, South, and Central Symphonic Orchestras to perform at St. Charles Family Arena. Around 1,000 string players in 5th, 8th, and High School participated around the district.
Solo and Ensemble Contest 3/8 - Seven musicians from the Symphonic orchestra are participating in District Solo and Ensemble Contest on March 8th at Parkway Central High School. Congratulations to Robert Cantalano and Kyle Krozel for receiving an Exemplary rating as well as Sean McWeeney, Everett Cui, Jessie Pai, Tumi Amailuk, and Matthew Denny all received Outstanding ratings.
Theater
- PNH Viking Theatre - produced The Diary of Anne Frank that opened on Wed. Feb. 21st with a cast of 13, a production team of 10 student leaders and crews with members totaling 16. Grand total of all contributing students - 39, not including the ushers!!!
- The 2024 Senior Directed One Acts are underway in the Directing Class. Directors Trent Lair and Jack Prinzi have spent the last 6 months reading scripts, picking their individual shows and then began the planning of their individual productions. They are Analyzing their script, Blocking their action, Developing their characters, creating the paperwork and production calendar for their rehearsals and performances. We look forward to seeing what these two amazing theatre students are going to present at the beginning of May.
Winter Guard
- They placed 4th at the Wentzville Liberty Competition and also increased their scores.

Tennis State Champion Ring Ceremony
This remarkable duo showcased their exceptional talent, determination, and sportsmanship throughtout the season, culminating their well deserved state championship. They were presented championship rings for their big win! Congrats to Yvonne Shannon and Emily Koo.
