We hope you had a relaxing Labor Day weekend with family and friends. We know how busy the first weeks of school are for everyone. Hopefully, you enjoyed doing something fun outdoors this weekend.
This Friday, 9/6 is PTO Popcorn Friday during lunch time. Please send your student's money to school with them at the start of the school day. The office can no longer accept or hold on to cash. Also, this Friday is College and Military Day. Students may wear their favorite college, military, school, team, or club gear.

Student Use of Phones/Electronics
Elementary students may not use devices such as cell phones, smart watches, or other electronics during the school day, even when placed in school-mode, especially those that permit texting or internet usage. Devices must remain turned off and left in your student’s backpack during school hours on campus. Students found wearing or using these devices during the day will be asked to place them in their backpacks. Thank you for your support!
Breakfast and Lunch Menus:
View menus online at HOT LUNCH MENUS FOR ALL LAPS SCHOOLS in order to make the best choice for your student(s), but please keep in mind that menus can change without notice and substitutions in the menu can occur.
Students are entitled to one free meal, but we cannot provide second helpings. Some student are still hungry after eating their lunch. If your student needs more food than is provided at lunch, please pack them additional foods.
*When in doubt, pack your student's lunch or pack additional foods in case they do not like what is provided. Please know meals are subject to change without notice.

The PTO has some fun events coming up that we would like to remind families of:
- Popcorn Friday is September 6th. Students can bring $1 to school that day, if they'd like to buy popcorn at lunch.
- The next PTO meeting is Wednesday, September 11 at 6:00 pm at SALA. It will be a "White Out" theme. Please come join us!
- The first ever "Movie on the Mesa" will be Friday, September 13. The movie will be Freaky Friday. The movie opens at 5:30 pm and starts at 6:00 pm. The PTO will have snacks for sale.
