Thanks to everyone who joined us for Thursday night's Spooktacular Halloween Celebration! We thought it was such a fun event and have heard lots of positive feedback from parents and kids. Big thanks to the volunteers who helped to staff games and manage the trick-or-treating parade!
We also want to thank the neighborhood businesses who helped make this night a success: Annie's, Commodore, DC Vegan, Duke’s, Floriana, Mikko, Pupatella, Safeway, and Swift Dry Cleaners! In addition, for everyone who attended the pizza party at Pupatella, we wanted to thank you for your patience. This was a pilot event for both the Ross community as well as Pupatella, who has been a generous community partner to Ross in multiple ways this year. By the morning of Spooktacular we already had many more attendees than we anticipated, which is why we had to put a time cap on ticket sales that still resulted in more than 30% of tickets sold day-of. As you can imagine, this created some complications at the venue. We did learn a lot and now know there's significant appetite for events like this within our community (for 200+ attendees)! And we want to make them open and accessible to everyone.
