Happy Friday! This was an atypical week due to the Tuesday student holiday. We appreciate you assisting us with keeping students on a routine. When students have consistency, we see the stamina for school strengthen. There are so many exciting events in the month of November and the start of December! I am uncertain why October seems to linger and November flies by. Below is an outline of dates to remember. Please use this FORM to RSVP for our Thanksgiving Luncheon. If you have already paid with your child's teacher, no need to pay again. However, completing this form will assist the front office with student check ins. Please complete the form for each child. Thank you for helping us plan for this special event.

I also want to take a moment to recognize all of our Veterans. Monday, November 11th, is Veterans Day. A day set aside to recognize all who have served our Nation in the Armed Services. We have received numerous submission of our Bear Creek connected Veterans. These images from service and the stories are displayed outside the cafeteria for all to see. Thank you for sending us your submission. These stories create a real connect for our Cubs. And, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.

The Cub Olympics will take place on Friday, Nov 22, 2024 which is the Friday before Thanksgiving Break!! One of our stations that all students get the opportunity to rotate to is our Trinket Station, where they will get to choose a prize, hopefully 2!

Hybrid Marathon Bear Creek Cub Team:

How it works...

1)School: At school earn miles on the track during PE with QR code name tags. Students are rewarded for completing mileage and sportsmanship with stickers commemorating their efforts to accomplish as many marathons as possible (26.2 miles) during the year.

2) Home/Performing Cardiovascular Exercise Outside of School: Students can choose to participate and add extra miles by completing a log and having it signed by their parents. Please give to Coach Garcia & the miles will be added to school miles. Here is the info. below for the logs. Please print and fill out accordingly.

10 minutes of walking/running/activity (including a cardiovascular activity like swimming, soccer, basketball, etc. =.5 miles)

20 minutes of the above activities = 1 mile

3) Join Bear Creek Cubs Team for the Statesman Cap 10K. Students, parents, teachers, and staff from Bear Creek are invited to participate on April 6th.
