REMINDER!

As we continue to move through the school year, please be reminded that pets are not allowed on school property. Please refrain from bringing pets, especially dogs, on school grounds at the beginning and end of the days. In addition, motorized scooters, motorized skateboards or pedal boards of any kind are not permitted on school property, in accordance with the Elmwood Park Municipal Code. We want everyone to feel safe in and around the school. Finally, encourage your children to ride their bikes safely, including wearing a helmet. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. School Picture Retakes

JMS Picture Retake day is Wednesday, October 23! Any new or absent students will take their picture along with any retakes! Please see attached.

COLLEAGUE OF THE MONTH

Congratulations to Social Worker Ms. Strazis!

One nomination statement reads, "Ms. Strazis goes above and beyond in everything she does. She will constantly make herself available for students in an effort to provide the best service and environment for learning for all. She is the epitome of a team player and does an amazing job with students!"

Southpaw, the Chicago White Sox mascot, will visit John Mills School on October 29th. This interactive show discusses four types of bullying including: Bigmouth Bullying, Hands-On Bullying, Stay Out Bullying and Cyber Bullying.

Spike for a Cause 2024

Come out with all the maroon and gold for District 401 volleyball tournament between the Trojans, Panthers, Cougars, and Tigers. Show up and show out! This event is organized by DECA at Elmwood Park High School and the money raised will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association. Ways we can be overall winners? Fundraising, school spirit and attendance at the event, and winning the volleyball tournament. Let's make it a clean sweep.
