Mrs. Szoradi's 1st Grade Class
Mrs. Szoradi’s first grade class has been busy! Recently, students had fun writing their opinion on whether or not the groundhog would see its shadow. While most of the class hoped for an early spring, a few were cheering for six more weeks of winter!
In math, they have been working on identifying the number of tens and ones in two-digit numbers. Students created "Tens and Ones Monsters" to show how many tens and ones were in the their numbers.
Mrs. Zbydnowski's Kindergarten Class
Mrs. Z’s class celebrated learning all the letters and sounds in the alphabet by participating in an alphabet parade with their fellow kindergarten classes. Students were given a paper bag vest and assigned a letter. Working with their families, students decorated the vests with pictures and drawings of items that started with their assigned letter. After the alphabet parade, students participated in a celebration ceremony and were given a certificate. Everyone was so excited and proud to accomplish learning all the letters and sounds! A huge thanks goes to Albert’s Fresh Market for donating the grocery bags.

Popcorn Party!
Miss Heestand’s class filled up their Star Jar by being Ready, Responsible, and Respectful. As a reward, they enjoyed a movie party complete with freshly popped popcorn from Mrs. Novak! We are so proud of her class and love celebrating whole group accomplishments!
Staff Spotlights
Kelly Papay, Intervention Specialist
Years in the district: This is my 35th year at Midview!
What excites me most about my job: Since I usually have students from Kindergarten through second grade, I get most excited seeing them grow both academically and socially until they leave me to go to third grade.
Three adjectives students would use to describe me: Crazy, Loud, and Passionate
A few of my favorite things include: Movies, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Guardians, Ohio State Buckeyes, friends and family
What is most important to me in my role: The most important thing to me as a teacher is building relationships with my students and their families. I want them to know how much I care about them and want to help the students reach their full potential while they are with me.
Shannon Krajewski, Kindergarten Teacher
Years in the district: This is my 29th year teaching kindergarten at Midview.
Reason(s) I chose to pursue my position at Midview Local Schools: I attended Midview Schools growing up. I had many great teachers and coaches along the way who were always caring and encouraging throughout my school years. I wanted to be able to teach in a place with caring people and a comfortable and fun environment. I was not planning to teach kindergarten, but once I got started, I quickly discovered that was where my heart was.
A few of my favorite things include: Music, watching sports, reading, and doing outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, or going for a walk
I am not a big fan of: Coffee
Working at Midview Local Schools has taught ME: Always be ready to try something new.
